Darjeeling Rangit Valley Ropeway

The Darjeeling Rangit Valley Ropeway, operational since 1968, has become a beloved attraction for both tourists and locals. Offering stunning aerial views of Darjeeling, the ropeway ride provides an unforgettable experience as visitors soar above lush green tea estates, dense forests, and vibrant flora and fauna. The ride also offers breathtaking glimpses of the snow-capped peaks of Mount Everest and Kanchenjunga, showcasing the majestic beauty of the region.

The ropeway operates with about 16 cable cars, each capable of carrying six passengers, and travels across an altitude of around 7,000 feet. It stretches from North Point in Singmari to Singla Bazaar, offering visitors the perfect vantage point to capture the scenic landscapes. The ropeway operates from 10 AM to 4 PM during winter and monsoon, and from 10 AM to 2 PM during the summer and autumn months, providing a spectacular way to explore Darjeeling’s stunning vistas.
