1. How do I book a tour package?

2. How do I make the payment for my tour?

Once your tour is confirmed, your dedicated travel consultant will provide you with a payment invoice and our bank details. You’ll also find the payment terms for your reference. 3. What travel documents do I need to travel to Bhutan?

  • For Indian travelers: Your Passport or Voter ID card works just fine. For children under 18, a passport or birth certificate will do. No other documents are accepted.

4. How do I get my advance permit for Indians?

Once you’ve confirmed your tour with us, simply transfer the SDF (Sustainable Development Fee) to our bank account. Our team will take it from there, ensuring your advance permit is ready before your tour dates.

5. What currency is used in Bhutan?

Bhutan’s currency is the Ngultrum (BTN), which is pegged 1:1 to the Indian Rupee (INR). So, Indian Rupees are accepted widely.

6. How do I cancel my booked tour?

8. How many days does a refund take?

Refunds typically take 7 to 14 working days to process, depending on the specific circumstances of your case. We’ll keep you updated throughout the process!

9. How do I reschedule my tour?

10. Which power plug is used in Bhutan?

Bhutan uses a mix of three plug types:

  • British (Type G) – Three square pins
  • European (Type C) – Two round pins
  • Indian (Type D) – Three round pins Make sure you bring adaptors for all three!

11. What is Bhutan’s international dialing code?

12. What languages are spoken in Bhutan?

While Dzongkha is the official language, you’ll find that English is widely spoken, especially in urban areas, due to its presence in the educational system.

13. What is the weather like in Bhutan and when is the best time to visit?

Bhutan has four distinct seasons, and its climate varies based on altitude:

  • Summer (June – August): Warm in the south, with the monsoon season affecting the southern regions.
  • Autumn (Sept – Nov): Clear, sunny days, perfect for festivals and sightseeing.
  • Winter (Dec – Feb): Crisp, clear skies with possible snowfall above 3,000 meters.
  • Spring (March – May): Ideal for nature lovers, with flowers in full bloom and mild temperatures.

Best Time to Visit: Autumn (Sept-Nov) & Spring (March-May) offers the best combination of clear skies and vibrant festivals, but Bhutan is beautiful year-round!

13. Is it mandatory to have a guide?

Yes, a guide is required for most activities in Bhutan, except for casual experiences like shopping, dining, and nightlife. Having a guide ensures you get the full cultural experience while navigating the country’s rich heritage.

14. What does the guide do?

Your guide is there to enrich your Bhutan experience. Whether you’re interested in hiking, learning about Bhutan, Buddhism, exploring local architecture, or even discovering traditional textiles, your guide will tailor your journey. You’re free to wander through markets, quaint villages, and interact with locals—your guide is there to support, not babysit.

15. Do I need a visa to enter Bhutan?

  • For Indian nationals: A permit is required to visit Bhutan.
  • For all other nationalities: A visa is required, which must be approved before travel. For visitors from Bangladesh and Maldives, visas can be obtained either in advance or upon arrival.
  • For diplomats and government officials: Swiss and Thai nationals holding diplomatic passports can obtain a visa upon arrival.

16. How much does the visa cost & SDF fee?

The visa application fee is US$40, which is paid alongside your Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of US$100 per day.

17. How long is my visa valid for?

Your visa allows you to stay in Bhutan for a maximum of 90 days from the date of entry.

18. Can I extend my visa while in Bhutan?

Yes, visa extensions are possible, but you must apply before your original visa expires. Our team will assist you with the process. Please note that an extension fee, along with additional SDF charges, will apply.

19. Is it safe to travel in Bhutan?

Bhutan is one of the safest countries in the world. Crime is rare, and locals are warm and welcoming. That said, as in any destination, always take care of your belongings. Be cautious around stray dogs, which may be found in certain areas, and avoid feeding or petting them.

20. Are there any restrictions on dress?

There are no strict rules on what visitors should wear, but if you’re visiting religious sites or monasteries, it’s important to dress modestly. Smart-casual attire that covers your shoulders to your knees is both respectful and appreciated in such places.

21. How about mobile network and data connectivity?

We provide our guests with a free tourist SIM card to keep you connected with our team, as well as with friends and family back home. The SIM card allows for both calling and internet use. While most hotels in Bhutan offer Wi-Fi too. Mobile data in Bhutan can be a bit on the expensive side, but you can easily top up your SIM card at mobile stores or any normal shops.
