Sai Mandir

Sai Mandir, located in the Assangthang area of Namchi, Sikkim, is a prominent Hindu temple dedicated to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba. Situated just 3 km from Char Dham and 5 km from the Namchi Taxi Stand, it stands as a major pilgrimage site in the region. Built in 2010 as a gift from Chief Minister Pawan Chamling to the people of Sikkim, the temple is an impressive two-storied structure with modern architectural design. On the first floor, a beautiful statue of Shirdi Sai Baba is housed, which looks especially glorious when sunlight falls on it. The ground floor is designed for devotees to gather and sing hymns in praise of Sai Baba, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. The temple also features ten stunning paintings depicting the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu.

The serene and peaceful surroundings of the temple are enhanced by a beautifully maintained garden, from which visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Mount Kanchenjunga, the third-highest mountain in the world. The temple’s calm ambiance makes it an ideal place for meditation and reflection. Additionally, small restaurants and shops around the temple complex offer vegetarian Indian food, tea, and cold drinks. Open from 8 AM to 5 PM, Sai Mandir is a peaceful and spiritual retreat, offering visitors both divine blessings and a chance to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature.
