Tsirang Dzong

Tsirang Dzong, situated just half a kilometer from Damphu town in Tsirang District, Bhutan, serves as the administrative headquarters of the district. Construction of the dzong commenced in 2004 and was completed four years later, with its inauguration in 2008. Built on a spacious piece of land, Tsirang Dzong commands a prominent position that offers sweeping views of Khikhor village and the surrounding countryside. The dzong’s architecture blends traditional Bhutanese design elements with modern construction techniques, reflecting Bhutan’s commitment to preserving its cultural heritage while embracing progress.

Tsirang Dzong stands not only as a seat of governance but also as a symbol of local pride and heritage. Its strategic location, scenic surroundings, and cultural significance make it a focal point for both administrative activities and cultural events within Tsirang District.
